Competition Area

A Level B Trail O event to be held in private woodlands by the side of Windermere. Tracks are mostly firm, but not tarmac.

The area around the YMCA is embargoed for orienteers details of the exact area will be seen here soon. This does not include the YMCA accomodation block.

Eligibility

The Trail O Championships are open to members of the British Orienteering Federation and to members of IOF affiliated Federations. Eligibility is the same as the Long Championships, see Competition Rule A: British Long Distance Orienteering Championships for further information on eligibility to be a British Champion.

SI Punching will be used for the start and finish only.

The start window of 15:30 - 17:00 has been chosen so you should be able to complete your BOC course first and then do BTOC.

Entries for the Trail O Championships

Elite (approx 90 minutes) and Standard (approx 60 minutes) courses are offered.

Elite is full technical difficulty and is only suited for experienced trail orienteers

Standard is of a reduced technical difficulty and not suited for orienteering novices.

Open, Para (for those meeting IOF rules) and Junior classes are offered.

Entries are now open and close at midnight on 9th April 2017.
