Fabian4 - Relay Start List

All entries are now closed (even late entries). Any last minute changes, please contact the entries secretary or go to enquiries on the day.

Parking and car sharing

Due to recent wet weather, our parking fields for Saturday are somewhat soft in places (also Sunday but not quite so bad). We are installing some more tracking, but we also want to encourage car sharing as much as possible. Please aim for 3+ occupancy where possible to reduce number of vehicles. We won't enforce it, but really appreciate your help. This particularly applies to motorhomes and larger vehicles which are heavier and have the most impact on the fields (and are hardest to push / tow out!). There is a park and ride on the outskirts of Whitby with free parking which is an ideal place to consolidate vehicles and most of you will pass close by. There is also closer parking at Sandsend but you have to pay. See first map below. Please speak to your friends and clubmates and do what you can to meet up and share transport into the parking on the day.

For those staying in Sandsend it is possible to walk on pavement to halfway up Lythe Bank, and enter the estate on forest drive over a bridge and through gate into field and pick up the walking route from the car park - not much more walking than if you used the event car park. See second map below.

Note there is strictly NO CYCLING in Mulgrave Woods, so you may not cycle in to the arena. But if you were cycling from Whitby direction, feel free to cycle to Sandsend, lock your bike there (at your own risk) and walk in as above, rather than cycle all thew ay up Lythe Bank to the main parking!
